Born into a musical family, Dominique Corbiau became involved with music from the age of four, playing piano. Later on, he learnt flute and cello, but it is in singing that he will be completely fulfilled and where he will find his favourite choice of expression. Drawn to the baroque period early on, the choice to work his counter-tenor voice became obvious.
My goal is to live the truly religious life, and express it in my music. If you live it, when you play there's no problem because the music is part of the whole thing. To be a musician is really something. It goes very, very deep. My music is the spiritual expression of what I am - my faith, my knowledge, my being. - John Coltrane
